Q. Will this product interfere with my ability to get my wife pregnant? We are currently trying to conceive. I just received your product and the warning indicates it should not be taken if you are trying to get pregnant. Please advise. A. That warning would apply only if your wife was using Detain X. For you, it's absolutely fine. Q. I would like to ask you a couple of questions before I purchase Detain X, as it is very expensive for me. You mention on the web site that 90 days is enough to replete my organism with serotonin. I wonder will not I deplete it again if I begin to have normal sex? Because my organism lacks this chemical, it means there is some reason for it. How will it help me to take Detain X? Then, does it mean that I have to take this medicine all my life, periodically? The second question: the ingredients of Detain X don't contain serotonin. Is there something I don't understand? DETAIN X contains necessary precursors that help your body create more serotonin. It doesn’t contain serotonin, but the supplements that aid your own body in creating more. Yes, you will need to take it on an ongoing basis, however, some men are able to take a break after using it for 3 or 4 months. They typically need to take it again if their condition worsens. Best results are reported by men that use DETAIN X for at least 90 days. Q. I read your website and I have some questions: My PE does not allow me to last more than 2 minutes at the most during intercourse and that only when I am using the start / stop method. Other than PE I don't have any sexual issues. I have never masturbated before marriage and never had sex before marriage. I have only been married 1.75 years. I am 35. My experience tells me that this will become an issue in your marriage if you are unable to improve your ability to delay orgasm. I am sure you already recognize the importance of pleasing your wife and bringing her to orgasm in some fashion other than sexual intercourse. Even if she says she is not frustrated over the PE, she likely is frustrated and feeling anxious over the problem. Q. I had a couple questions about your product. When looking up some of the ingredients on the internet I have read that some people do not receommend drinking while using some of those drugs. Can you drink while using Detain X Secondly I am on propecia and I was wondering if there is anything in that drug that would not react well with Detain X? Lastly I have high blookd pressure in my family although mine has been at the high end of the scale not needing medication. First of all, these are all good questions and deserve to be posted in the FAQ's by my support team. It is perfectly OK to have alcohol in any form while on this product. You could have two glasses of wine (12 ounces), 2-3 regular sized beers, or two mixed drinks with one ounce of spirits. I have never had a single report of a problem with alcohol when people drink responsibly while taking DETAIN X. There is no reason for DETAIN X to interfere with propecia (finasteride). It works as a prostate reduction medication and is associated with a number of potential side effects. One is decrease in libido (loss of sexual desire), another is drop in sperm count, yet another can be a drop in the volume of semen when you ejaculate. It is important to remember that your wife cannot come into contact with this pill if she is pregnant as it can cause birth defects in the developing fetus. Remember also that proprecia is NOT indicated for receding hairline as it does not work on this area of the scalp. Lastly, you will neither get high blood pressure from DETAIN X nor will you help your situation if your blood pressure is marginal. I hope these comments help you with your choice about DETAIN X. What would the side effects be if I drank heavily while on this drug? A. I cannot in good conscience tell you that it is perfectly safe to really lay one on with any supplement that you are taking. However, with that said, I have had it reported that at least two of my support staff who take DETAIN X had 15 or more beers or cocktails over a five or six hour period of time on multiple occasions. That may or may not apply to you. I have no idea. To date, each of them has over imbibed without ill effect. They also have not reported any side effects or difference while drinking on Detain X. I am sorry, but that is the best that I can do to help answer this question. Q. I was wondering why this supplement could not be used with anti depresants? I am not taking any, but was curious, is this a weaker anti depressant? I purchased the supplement but am cautious to take it.... A. One of the ingredients in DETAIN X is a plant supplement that is metabolized in the same enzyme system in the liver as an anti depressant medication from the SSRI group. As a result they cannot be used together because the use of both of these items would create competition for enzymatic breakdown in the liver. This could result in either a higher or lower level of one or both items. The enzyme system is called the cytochrome P450 system. I hope this helps you understand. I know it is a bit technical; however, I believe it to be understandable. We have had tremendous results from men using Detain X and I hope to hear that you are one of them. Q. Dr. Ringold, I am optimistic that your product will help me. However, I do have my concerns. I am in my mid-forties and it has been 2 years since I had a minor heart attack and a quadruple by-pass. It was primarily due to my family history as I am very healthy. I try to run 2-1/2 miles 3 to 4 days a week and lift weights 2 days per week the same as I did prior to my heart attack. I have had a heart attack (two actually) as well as a five vessel bypass one year ago. I am 57 and I would not hesitate taking DETAIN X if I needed to try it. The only concern for you is that both Lipitor and Zetia share a common cytochrome system in the liver for their metabolism. One of the proprietary ingredients in DETAIN X is also metabolized at this site. It is called the cytrochrome P450 system. As a result, you must have your liver enzymes checked after four weeks just like when you first started on Lipitor if you choose to try DETAIN X. Additionally your beta blocker is not a problem. You are on very common medicines following a bypass. The added load on this cytochrome system can alter the level of one or both medications. It is unlikely that this would occur; however, it can happen. So the choice as always rests with you in the end. I purchased your product and have been taking it for two days now. I wanted to check with you on two things that I have notied. I have pain in my right ear almost what would usually feel like an ear infection. I also Have stiffness and a little pain in the right side of my neck/throat. I do not have a sore throat when I swallow. I also just have a little bit of occasioanly numbness on the right side of my face. There is some cases of the flew going around, but I wanted to relay my symtoms to make sure this was not being caused by the pills. Thanks for your input. A. Under no circumstances would DETAIN X cause the symptoms you are having. There is a chance that you are developing Bell's Palsy which can follow two or three days of ear soreness, neck soreness, and facial numbness. I cannot tell you for sure, but I am concerned that something is about to happen. The other condition that can cause these symptoms is something called shingles or Ramsey-Hunt syndrome. These are all viral infections, and it is possible that you could begin to get a rash on involved side of the face, forehead, or in your outer ear. This is not related in any form to the supplement. I am 21, and although not serious, I simply, unless Im drunk, don't last very long in bed. I am a junior in college. I my first girlfriend for 2 1/2 years and we were each others first time.
